In the 90’s, the Pier Show in Redhook, Brooklyn, offered raw space for artists to realize large scale works in an empty civil war era warehouse.   The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition organized this annual exhibition of emerging talent which celebrated the creative spirit in a unique and historical setting.

Exploring the architectural space, I created these pieces by stretching and knotting cut-up pantyhose from fixed points embedded in the oak beams.   This work encouraged the viewer to walk in and among the geodesic forms .

“The knockout piece in the Sculpture Barn was curator Judy Thomas’ breathtaking The Blue Archway of pendulous sandbag teardrops or breasts suspended over the door.”
